Big Friends are fundraising to attend the 2011 Yolo County Child Development Conference on March 26th. This opportunity will be an overnight adventure, including:
* UC Davis tour
* "A Sound of Music" at the historic Woodland Opera Company
* professional networking and teacher training - full day conference
* conference keynote speaker is noted children's musician Jose Luis Orozco
All big friends are eligible to attend if they contribute three volunteer hours toward fundraising events. The first is on Tuesday, February 14th from 6:00PM - 8:30PM - Parent's Night Out! To attend, parents should submit their non-refundable check for $25 made out to "Alternatives in Action" (memo: Yolo fund 2/14.) The check will be the child's Rsvp! Corinna and Keith are planning crafts, pizza and a dance party - they have space for 16 children.
